Home Is…. digital prints, 28” x 13”
These prints incorporate a font I designed using drawings of the floor plans of all the bedrooms I have ever lived in. There happened to be twenty-four bedrooms, a number close to the English alphabet, so I used Calligraphr to create a font and used it to retype the sentiments from cross stitch samplers my mother had done and had hanging in our home growing up. I was really interested in the back of the sampler that showed the structure of her stitches and the unseen foundation of the sampler.
